KK CITY TREASURE HUNT 2010

Excuse me please... i'm taking time out to hunt.... Yepp.. Last 2 week (around that time lah) Catega have manage to join a treasure hunt competition which organize by Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK). The hunt was started at Karambunai Resort at 7.30 a.m an covered almost all of KK city area.

It was amazing experience for me to join this treasure hunt for the very first time and it's make me want to join it again next year.... My real ambition to join this activity actually to grab the first prize which worth more than RM10,000 ( including RM5,000 cash)... But the question is very tricky for first timer, we manage get no. 31(ha ha... dunno actually) from 125 of contestants.

We pay RM 300 to join this competition... and what we got is tired... ha ha ha... No lah... Even though we pay RM 300 to join it but actually is worth because we get many goodies from the event sponsors... Adidas t-shirt, Celcom simcard, lunch / high tea at Karambunai resort, biscuits and mineral water and other more... that are the thing that we get.

Hopefully next i can manage myself to join this activity again and grab the first prize. This time i already know the trick to get the number 1 is not impossible (ha haa... )

Datu Paduka Mat Salleh Memorial

Just recently Catega have the opportunity to vist Mat Salleh Memorial at Tambunan while doing my motivation talk at SM Teknik Keningau.

Here a bit info about Datu Paduka Mat Salleh Memorial from Sabah Tourism Board.

This memorial site which is located in Kampung Tibabar, Tambunan is set up to commemorate Datuk Paduka Mat Salleh for his heroism during the British Colonial times.

Situated around 90 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu, this memorial has been upgraded by the Sabah State Museum and the upgrading works have been completed in February. The Mat Salleh Memorial is now open for public viewing.

Visitors are welcome to visit the Mat Salleh Memorial daily from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free.

Getting There:

My Nothing To Do Holiday....

Recently... Hari Raya Aidilfitri Holiday..... Catega was going back to kampung (village) after so long not going back (may be.. around 3 month and half... it's a long time ...may be)....

What i do...at Kampung?
Nothing to do .... i am just sleep.... then going to my grandpa house... visit them hear they advised....., after that meet my uncle ESTRUE who is big fan and supporter of Candy AF.
He also have invited me to blog about Candy.... and it's a interesting think to me and i will consider about it. But may be i will do it........ so just wait more update about Candy.....

Just recently me and my friend Pierrie go to Upperstar KK, with one reason trying to online at there and in the same time have a drink. But however, before we can get online from Upperstar wireless connection the is something that should never happen, which is the Upperstar waitress or waiter give us the wrong password. We even try ask them five times but all the password the give us was wrong.... Luckily catega is a smart men and can think with his mind and can get the correct password.

If you wanna drinks or take your dinner here, actually if you asking about the price... it is affordable but it is delicious? may be it depend to your taste...

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park A.K.A Lok Kawi Zoo

Just Recently Catega with colleagues bring our mentee for doing community service at Lok Kawi Zoo.... it was very fun and worth experiences for us... some of our mentee have the opportunity to wash a python which is test you self believe....

Our programe start around 9.30 a.m, where the Lok Kawi Zoo in charge person was brief to us what the job that we can do... then all of us around 105 people was divided to four group call as Harimau, Zebra, Gajah and the last one i forgot.... After that every group was taking to difference place or part of the zoo for the community service...

What types of animal that can found here....? there is a lot actually among them which Catega manage take the picture are:

Proboscis monkey

Eagle

Zebra & wild buffalo

Deer

Baboon

Elephant

Rhino

Donkey

And other reptiles species...

This activity was encourage our mentee the learn the important of this wild life to our ecosystem and nature... May be next we do it again this kind of community service....

And to any one who plan want to go this zoo.... Just go because there is a lot of interesting animal that can be found here and don't forget every 11.30 and 3.30 this zoo have organize a show... want to know the show... just visit this park. Only RM 10 for malaysian adult... foreign maybe just a little expensive but affordable.

A View Of Labuan International Sea Sport Complex

Have you go to Labuan...? Actually this is my first time going to this island... and there is a lot of attraction that you can find here... first are... of cause the prize of chocolate and alcohol which is very cheap compare to the mainland.

There are a few interesting places also that we can visit ... one of it is Labuan International Sea Complex

If you watch Destinasi Bajet... there is episode which was bring us to Labuan and tells us the cheapest way if we want to visit here.

Destinasi Bajet (Budget Destination)

Have you watch a program that called as "Destinasi Bajet" (Budget Destination)?

Just Recently Catega and friends have the opportunity to meet face to face with the program host, Qushairi while we have a vacation at Manukan Island. He was very friendly and funny, have a sense of humor.

What this program about?
"Destinasi Bajet" actually about holiday/vacation program wheres the host will spend just RM300 for 3 day vacation. And all the places that he go actually limited to in country only. So if you want to spend less money while "cuti-cuti Malaysia" it's better you watch this program as a guidance hehehehe.

Mount Trus Madi: Our Journey To The Top

Our expedition to the top of Mount Trus Madi was not run smoothly... because the transport that promise to bring us the climbing point was broken. So what we need to do is walking from the Kg Kaigaran until to top which is taking a lot of time... from what we heard from the villager it will take about 5 to 8 hours to climb until the cabin place at Mount Trus Madi. However we still try to climb the mountain and look what happen next.

finally we arrive at the entry point, after around 3 hours walking and climbing the hills

Luckily at the entry point we manage to rent forest land cruiser to bring us to the climbing point which is there we can take a rest at the rest house

This is the climbing point... climbing Mount Trus Madi only take 4900m not like Mount Kinabalu take 8KM over. If we starting our climbing here so it will easy for us but because we starting our climbing at Kg Kaigaran so at the moment we arrive here we already exhausted.
