UEFA Champion League Final: Fc Barcelona Vs Man United Preview

Spanish champions FC Barcelona take on English champions Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday 28 May 2011.

After a slow start in this season’s English Premiership, Manchester United rallied towards the end to clinch the title with one game to go. Their cup form though has been lacking, suffering defeats at the hands of lowly West Ham United in the League Cup and local rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup.

FC Barcelona won the Spanish league but with just two games to spare. Yet they too suffered a cup disappointment after fierce rivals Real Madrid beat them 1-0 in the Copa del Rey final.

FC Barcelona’s Route to the Final

FC Barcelona won their group with four wins, two draws and no defeats, scoring 14 goals in the process and only conceding three. Barcelona faced London club Arsenal in the Round of 16 and suffered an early set-back losing the away leg 2-1 after being a goal in front. But they put that behind them at Camp Nou, winning 3-1 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate. Barcelona had an easier time in the quarter-finals, winning the home leg against Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 and then adding another goal for good measure in the away leg.

The semi-finals brought Barcelona face-to-face with rivals Real Madrid, and a 2-0 away win meant that the 1-1 draw at Camp Nou was enough to take them to the final.

Manchester United’s Route to the Final

Manchester United topped their group easily, also notching up four wins and two draws and suffering no defeats; in fact they only conceded one goal when they drew 1-1 with Valencia.

Manchester United started the Round of 16 with a nervous goalless draw away at Marseilles. But two goals from the young Mexican Javier Hernández helped them to a 2-1 win at Old Trafford. The quarter-finals saw Manchester United up against English rivals Chelsea, whom they saw off with a 1-0 win away and a 2-1 win at home.

Manchester United did most of the hard work in the semi-final in the first leg, winning 2-0 away at Schalke. They then took the risk of fielding a weakened side for the home leg to rest players for an important Premiership game, but the second string did the business winning 4-1.

The two teams met in the 2009 Champions League Final, and on that occasion it was the Catalonians who came out on top with goals from Samuel Eto’o and Lionel Messi giving Barcelona a 2-0 win.

The two teams have met a total of 10 times, and they are level on victories with three apiece, the other four games being drawn.

Free condoms for college students

Free condoms are to be made available to local university students for the first time, the city's family planning service said Friday.

Vending machines will also be put up in dormitory buildings, officials said.

The free condoms will be placed in dormitory buildings, restrooms and laundries, where students can help themselves.

They will also be available at university medical centres.

Tang Wenjuan, an official with the Shanghai Health Bureau, said they decided to offer free condoms to meet students' needs and promote the concept of safe sex.

Outdoor vending machines on campus will be moved into dormitory buildings to provide an alternative.

"The condoms bought from vending machines are of a better quality than the free ones, and students can choose themselves," said Tang.

Tang also said that vending machines they had placed on streets had been all moved to improve the city's appearance.

Over the past 10 years, the city had put up nearly 3,000 vending machines on the street selling condoms for 1 yuan (45sen) each.

But many of the machines are broken and covered with rust, and not many people use them. Each machine on average sells one condom a day, Tang said.

Instead, the health bureau has now decided to put up about 800 vending machines inside some hotels and entertainment venues.

Any machines still on the street belonged to private companies and the local authorities could not repair or remove them.

Local residents can get free condoms at more than 9,000 sites across the city, including their residential buildings, officials said.

Neighborhood committees also hand out free condoms.

Some 3,638 sites providing free condoms in suburban areas have also been set up, mainly to serve migrant workers.

For some people, 13 is an unlucky number.

On Friday the 13th, a 13-year-old British boy was struck by lightning at 13.13.

The boy, who was at the Lowestoft Seafront Air Festival in Suffolk when the lightning struck on him, suffered a minor burn.

During the incident, St John Ambulance volunteers also treated two other people for lightning strikes.

All the victims were holding umbrellas, which acted as a conductor for electricity.

Clive James, first aid expert at St John Ambulance, said the biggest risk of a lightning strike is that it could stop the heart and breathing.

"If this happens, you need to start CPR immediately and call for an ambulance.

"If the person can walk, move away from the area immediately as lightning can strike in the same place twice," said James.

10. The Body/Mind Connection

Medical science is only beginning to understand the ways in which the mind influences the body. The placebo effect, for example, demonstrates that people can at times cause a relief in medical symptoms or suffering by believing the cures to be effective - whether they actually are or not. Using processes only poorly understood, the body's ability to heal itself is far more amazing than anything modern medicine could create.

9. Psychic powers and ESP
Psychic powers and extra-sensory perception (ESP) rank among the top ten unexplained phenomena if for no other reason than that belief in them is so widespread. Many people believe that intuition (see No.3) is a form of psychic power, a way of accessing arcane or special knowledge about the world or the future.

Researchers have tested people who claim to have psychic powers, though the results under controlled scientific conditions have so far been negative or ambiguous. Some have argued that psychic powers cannot be tested, or for some reason diminish in the presence of skeptics or scientists. If this is true, science will never be able to prove or disprove the existence of psychic powers.

8. Near-Death Experiences and Life After Death

6.Deja vu
Deja vu is a French phrase meaning 'already seen,' referring to the distinct, puzzling, and mysterious feeling of having experienced a specific set of circumstances before. Some attribute deja vu to psychic experiences or unbidden glimpses of previous lives. Though definitive proof for the existence of ghosts remains elusive, sincere eyewitnesses continue to report seeing, photographing, and even communicating with ghosts. Ghost investigators hope to one day prove that the dead can contact the living, providing a final answer to the mystery.

4. Mysterious disappearances
People disappear for various reasons. Most are runaways, some succumb to accident, a few are abducted or killed, but most are eventually found. Not so with the truly mysterious disappearances. From the crew of the Marie Celeste to Jimmy Hoffa, Amelia Earhart, and Natalee Holloway, some people seem to have vanished without a trace. When missing persons are found, it is always through police work, confession, or accident never by 'psychic detectives'). But when the evidence is lacking and leads are lost, even police and forensic science can't always solve the crime.

3. Intuition
Whether we call it gut feelings, a 'sixth sense,' or something else, we have all experienced intuition at one time or another. Of course, gut feelings are often wrong (how many times during aircraft turbulence have you been sure your plane was going down?), but they do seem to be right much of the time. Psychologists note that people subconsciously pick up information about the world around us, leading us to seemingly sense or know information without knowing exactly how or why we know it. But cases of intuition are difficult to prove or study, and psychology may only be part of the answer.

2. Bigfoot
For decades, large, hairy, manlike beasts called Bigfoot have occasionally been reported by eyewitnesses across America. Despite the thousands of Bigfoot that must exist for a breeding population, not a single body has been found. Not one has been killed by a hunter, struck dead by a speeding car, or even died of natural causes. In the absence of hard evidence like teeth or bones, support comes down to eyewitness sightings and ambiguous photos and films. Since it is logically impossible to prove a universal negative, science will never be able to prove that creatures like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster do not exist, and it is possible that these mysterious beasts lurk far from prying eyes.

Da Vinci code: Doomsday in 4006

Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci predicted that the world would end in 4006, a Vatican researcher has claimed.

According to Sabrina Sforza Galitzia, da Vinci foresaw the end of the world in a "universal flood" which would begin on March 21, 4006 and end on November 1, 4006.

"He believed that this would mark a new start for humanity," she said.

The Vatican researcher came to the conclusion by deciphering the clues which are available in da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’ mural - the lunette above his painting of Jesus Christ with his disciples before crucifixion.

“There is a da Vinci code - it is just not the one made popular by Dan Brown,” said Galitzia, who studied da Vinci manuscripts as a researcher at California University in Los Angeles and now works in the Vatican archives.

Last year, the Vatican published her study ‘The Last Supper of Leonardo in the Vatican’, in which she examined a tapestry of the Last Supper made for King Louis XIII of France, based on da Vinci’s design for his famous mural.

Galitzia said she was working on a sequel which would explain da Vinci’s hidden “code”, involving signs of the zodiac and his use of the 24 letters of the Latin alphabet to represent the 24 hours of the day.

Da Vinci had seen the story of humanity as leading to "the sum of all things, the final reckoning" described in the Book of Revelations but also by ancient writers such as Plato and Aristotle, the Times quoted Galitzia as saying.

He had been a scientist and man of faith who had lived in "difficult times" and had hidden his messages "so as not to be attacked", she said. Da Vinci began working on the Last Supper in 1495 and finished it in 1498.

It was restored between 1978 and 1999 after it had badly deteriorated.

A Taiwanese woman lodged a police report against her boyfriend after he forced a vibrator into her private part without her consent.

Worse, the boyfriend - a medical student in his 30s - did not notice that a part of the vibrator had broken off and was left inside the woman's body.

His girlfriend, known only as Xiao Man, found out about the broken bit after taking an X-ray after suffering pain in her vagina for three days.

The furious woman, who was against the use of the sex toy, lodged a report with the Taiwan police against her boyfriend for offence against sexual autonomy.

According to Liberty Times, the man had numerous times requested his girlfriend of three years to use a vibrator while they have sex but was rejected.

Both of them had even quarrelled a few times over the issue.

Recently, when the couple was having sex, the man took out a vibrator and put it into Xiao Man's private part without her knowing.

He stopped when she complained of pain and quickly pulled out the vibrator and hid it, not knowing that the front part of the sex toy had broken off and was left in her vagina.

Since then, the girlfriend had complained of pain in her vagina and sought treatment from a hospital three days later.

KK CITY TREASURE HUNT 2010

Excuse me please... i'm taking time out to hunt.... Yepp.. Last 2 week (around that time lah) Catega have manage to join a treasure hunt competition which organize by Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK). The hunt was started at Karambunai Resort at 7.30 a.m an covered almost all of KK city area.

It was amazing experience for me to join this treasure hunt for the very first time and it's make me want to join it again next year.... My real ambition to join this activity actually to grab the first prize which worth more than RM10,000 ( including RM5,000 cash)... But the question is very tricky for first timer, we manage get no. 31(ha ha... dunno actually) from 125 of contestants.

'Smoking killed me' sign on grave

A smoker who died after battling emphysema has had his dying wish granted with the placement of a "Smoking killed me" sign on his hearse and his grave.

Albert Whittamore blamed his youthful smoking habit for the lung disease.

He said before he died at age 85 in February that he wanted the sign to serve as a warning to young people about the dangers of tobacco smoking.

The sign was designed to look like the health warning on a packet of cigarettes.
The printed placard at his grave will be left in place for a week.

NINETY per cent of women check out their rivals' assets up to seven times daily and nearly half of them are jealous of those with big boobs.

This was shown in a survey on 3,000 women and 1,000 men conducted by cosmetic surgery giant Transform.

The result of this survey has revealed a number of eye-opening truths about British attitudes to breasts in the 21st Century, said UK's The Sun newspaper.

The survey also showed that 51% of the women were unhappy with their breasts, with 63 per cent of them wanting bigger boobs.

Meanwhile, four in 10 men admitted that they looked at women's breasts at least 10 times a day with 40% confessing to looking at a woman's chest before her face.

And almost half of the men surveyed agreed that their partner's breasts are beautiful.

Pat Dunion, a spokesman for Transform, told The Sun that the research was a real insight into the British attitude towards breasts.

"Our fascination with breasts, whether male or female, seems to be getting bigger each year so it's no surprise that so many women seek out the breasts they've always wanted."

Beer makes the bones stronger

Beer can help strengthen the bones and prevent fractures in old age, a new study has confirmed.

Beer is a significant source of silicon, which is a key ingredient of the diet that helps to improve bone mineral density.

The best beers for silicon are the pale malted ales and lagers.

Dark bitters and stouts contain lower levels because they are made with roasted barley, which has lower silicon content.

Wheat contains less silicon than barley, so wheat beers are poorer sources of silicon.

Previous studies have suggested that a regular pint or two may help to prevent the bone-thinning disease osteoporosis.

In the new study, researchers at the University of California studied 100 commercial beers and found their silicon content ranged from 6.4 milligrams per litre to 56.5 mg/l.

Charles Bamforth...led the study

Paler beers have more silicon than darker ones because less heat is used in the malting process.

"Beer containing high levels of malted barley and hops are richest in silicon. It is the husk of the barley that is rich in this element."

"While most remains during brewing, significant quantities are none the less extracted into wort and survive into beer," the Independent quoted Charles Bamforth, who led the study, as saying.

The study has been published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture.

The telephone is for your convenience
There is no law that says you have to answer the phone or give out your cell phone number. If you don’t have a secretary, use caller ID, answering machine or voice mail to screen you calls. Return them at your convenience. This applies to both business and family time.

Use one calendar - Day Planner
Make your day planner the central location for your information. Keep track of business expenses, both personal and business appointment, telephone conversations, meeting notes, to do list etc.

Know the value of an hour
Take the total amount of hours you work a week and multiply them by 50. Now take your current yearly income and divide it by those hours. That is your hourly worth.

For example: You work 30 hours a week. 30 x 50 = 1500. Your income is $100,000. Divide $100,000 by 1500 and you get $56.67. Your working hour is worth $56.57. Repeat this for your desired income.

Hire somebody or delegate it
Are you really saving money doing it yourself or is costing you money?

Have a game plan
Always plan your day before you start. This is going to take great discipline. Once you’ve mastered that move to planning your week, then a month, 3 months, 6 month, and than a year.

Manage Interruptions
Put a do not disturb sign on your door. If some on insist on interrupting you with a problem, have them write it out with 3 possible solutions before seeing you. Don’t forget to turn the TV off. TV is a great time interrupter. Actually it’s a great time stealer.

Organize your work space and home
Disorganization and messiness can weigh you down. You’ll get more done if your organized. This may take more time up front to set it up but will save time in the long run.

Recently i have a Reader's Digest and i found one topic that interest me. Let me share with you all;

The SMART Way To Set Goals

S is for spesific; For example, instead of setting goal of "i want to lose weight", set yourself a specific goal like "i want to lose five kilograms". If you want to climb Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia, start your research, set a date and train for peak climbing fitness.

M is for measureable: Don't aim to "become healthy" or "less stressed"; instead, define a goal taht can be measured while contributing to an improved eating, exercise or lifestyle plan. For example. aim to go to the gym for an hour three times a week, to visit your grandma once a week for an evening meal, or to nible on no more than 200grams of chocolate a week.

A is for achievabble: If you've never exercised in your life, don't aim tocompete in the 2012 Olympics. Rather,buy yourself a pedometer and get walking, with the specific goal of somany steps a day. No need to aim for the star - baby steps are good too!

R is for relevent: Many of us choose goalsthat seem right, but are in fact wrong. A few weeks down the track, the goals fail to inspire.Try to avoid makingthe same mistake - rather, choose goals that really "speak" to you.

T is for time -conscious: Finally,be very clear in your mind about how much time you are giving yourself to achieve the goal.That way, you know when you've succeeded, failed or wether you need to work harder to make the deadline.

This memorial site which is located in Kampung Tibabar, Tambunan is set up to commemorate Datuk Paduka Mat Salleh for his heroism during the British Colonial times.

Situated around 90 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu, this memorial has been upgraded by the Sabah State Museum and the upgrading works have been completed in February. The Mat Salleh Memorial is now open for public viewing.

Visitors are welcome to visit the Mat Salleh Memorial daily from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free.

Just wanna share an email that i received from my buddy... read it especially if you're lady.

ONE WOMAN'S STORY ON SOYA...All Males-PLEASE pass this info to ALL your female friends... It may save their lives! Something to take note of.

This is my true story, nothing altered. These are facts, as they relate to my experience, my opinions based on what I have read and felt. I am relating them to warn other young health-conscious women who are unwittingly harming themselves.

In 1989, I graduated from high school in Texas and couldn't wait to hit the big college city. One of the changes I wanted to make was to eat healthier. Once I moved to health-conscious Austin , Texas , I began to fortify my body with the best and healthiest foods I could find.

Tofu was the main ingredient in every healthy dish and I bought soya milk almost every day used it for everything from cereal to smoothies or just to drink for a quick snack. I bought soya muffins, miso soup with tofu, soybeans, soybean, sprouts, etc. All the literature in all the health and fitness magazines said that soya protected you against everything from heart disease to breast cancer. It was the magical isoflavones, the estrogen-like hormones that all worked to help you stay young and healthy. I looked great, I was working out all the time, but my menstrual cycle was off. At 20, I started taking birth control pills to regulate my menstrual cycle.

In addition to this I began to suffer from painful periods. I began to get puffy, it was as though I was losing my muscle tone.. I began to suffer from depression and getting hot flashes. I mistook all this for PMS since my periods were irregular. By the time I was 25, my periods were so bad, I couldn't walk. The birth control pills never made them regular or less painful so I decided to stop taking them.

I went on like this for another two years until I realized my pain wasn't normal. At 27, my gynecologist found two cysts in my uterus. Both were the size of tennis balls. I went through surgery to have them removed and thank God they were benign. The gynecologist told me to go back on birth control pills. I didn't. In 1998, he discovered a lump in my breast. Again, I went through surgery and again it was benign. In November 2000 my glands swelled up and my gums became inflamed. Thinking I had a tooth infection I went to the dentist who told me that teeth were not the problem. After a dose of antibiotics the swelling still did not go down. At this point I could feel a tiny nodule on the right side of my neck. I told my mother I had thyroid trouble. She thought I was being silly. No one in the family suffered from thyroid trouble. Going on a hunch I saw a specialist who diagnosed me with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. After a series of tests he told me it was cancer. My fiancee and I sat stunned. We were not prepared and I was so scared. We scheduled surgery right away.

The specialist told us that it would only be after the operation that a pathologist would be able to tell us for sure if it was cancer. They found a tumor at my right lobe composed of irregular cells and another smaller tumor growing on the left, so the entire thyroid was removed. They told me that after undergoing radioactive iodine I would be safe and assured me that I could live a long life.

After treatment I began to search for the cause of all these problems. I never once thought it could be all the soya I had consumed for nearly ten years. After all, soya is healthy. I came upon a web page that linked thyroid problems to soya intake and the conspiracy of soya marketed as a health food when in fact it is only a toxic by-product of the vegetable oil industry. This was insane, after all, the health and fitness magazines had said nothing about soya being harmful.

I visited a herbalist who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1985. She informed me that soya was the culprit. She had a hysterectomy due to cysts and other uterine problems. A few months later another acquaintance who had consumed soya came down with thyroid cancer. A girl in England I met through the Internet in a thyroid cancer forum had just undergone surgery and she was only 19. What was going on? Breast cancer is linked to estrogen. What mimics estrogen in the female body, SOYA! But I never suspected soya because until now I never once found a single article that stated soya could be dangerous. Women who took soya prior to thyroid problems will continue to take it after if theyare not aware of what soya actually does, what it contains and how it reacts in the female body.

I think this is the reason that women with thyroid cancer often develop breast cancer later. My co-worker is big into soya and I see her losing hair and gaining weight despite a walking workout during her break and after work, and apples and oranges for lunch. She just had cysts removed from her uterus too. I warned her to stay off soya. I referred her to websites but until it is on the evening news on all four networks, women will suffer. Since the thyroidectomy, I do not touch soya, haven't for two years.

Dear readers,Please use my story in any way you can. There are so many young girls who are consuming soya because they think they are taking care of themselves, and women taking soya because they want to be healthy. It is so unfair that the information about the dangers of soya isn't more widely circulated. It is sad.. There are many out there who feel this way and it is a terrible blow when you realize you are not as healthy as you thought and that the information that you depended on was wrong.

Do you have read NST newspaper today? or visit www.nst.com.my? because as a Sabahan i feel excited to wait what will happen to Sabah Sport developtment when Sabah Sport Science Centre is launch... especially when this centre start, could this centre can bring better achievement to Sabahan athletes.

Of course sport science can help the athletes to perform well in the tournament and hopefully our athletes can apply the facilities to improve they achievement and performance.

A NEW facility looks set to become the heartbeat of sports development in Sabah.

The National Sports Institute Satellite Centre was launched in Kota Kinabalu to focus on spreading sports science and medicine.

Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob launched the RM200,000 facility at the Likas Stadium.

The centre will help fine-tune development of athletes with a more advanced approach including the introduction of physiotherapy, nutritional balance and psychological preparation.
State assistant Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim said the centre will give Sabah a new edge as far as preparing athletes for competition and moulding them in the long run.

"Development of athletes is not just about conventional training to become stronger or faster. There is the element of preparing them psychologically, their physical well being or even prevention of injuries," said Jahid.

"This is what the centre is all about -- to help maximise the athlete's potential and I believe it will go a long way in turning Sabah into a sporting powerhouse again."

Former national discus thrower Mohd Fadzil Affendy said sports science has evolved over the years to a point where development of athletes could fully depend on machines that have been invented.

"The best thing about sports science is its accuracy in evaluating the performance of athletes hence giving coaches the advantage of knowing their weaknesses and strength ahead of competitions," said Mohd Fadzil.

"Sports science could also determine the nutrition athletes need to build themselves physically as well as detect potential injuries."

Fadzil stressed, however, trained operators are required to run such a facility because otherwise it will only be a waste.

The satellite centre is one of six in the country under the ministry. The other centres are located in Terengganu, Penang, Sarawak and two in Johor.

It will be utilised to introduce sports science and medicine to athletes and coaches across the state for now particularly on nutrition, injury prevention, psychological preparation and bio-mechanics.

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that You have No Brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

1. God can’t stop loving you. Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3.. ( Love This Much )

2. God can’t stop thinking about you. How precious also are your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139:17-18

3. God can’t abandon you. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

What Happen To Our World????

Hello again.. here Catega keep writing on his blog... today Catega have some feeling that Catega think need to shares with readers... what are the things that keep on rocking on Catega mind? Yeah it's about our World today.... Do think that our world today is still the same compare to ages before... or become different...?

What Catega want to ask here is about behaviour of human ages before and nowadys.. do you think they behaviour is same or not?

If we read newspaper or listen to TV/radio news we will heard that there are war, bad economy, country doesn't have enough food supply and many more... why this happening now? or are there already happen long-long time ago.

May be, WE don't need to know why this bad scenario is occur but, May be we should think how to avoid it from occur and fine the solutions. May be this act could make better world.

One of my friends said to be that our world today is unfair. "Why unfair" i ask her, she said she don't know but she feeling had been treaten unfair.

ehmmm... Catega try to thinking again....

THE QUIET JANUARY

January is the first month of the year... and this blog didn't have any post on that month, why this could happen to catega..or shoes journal. If before, shoes journal among active blog that share to us or blog readers about current issue or anything that make us fun but on last January there was no new post.

what happen to you Catega?

Actually this last January there is many thing happen to me... starting from the day after Boxing Day...ehm one of my relative was pass away. Early of January, many meeting that i need to attend and need go to peninsular for HQ meeting. Then my mind was stuck when thinking my personel life on that time....

are tension Catega?

i think when talking about my career or job.. i didn't feel any stress or make me migrane but when we say about personel life... i think it make me a little bit stress.

Catega was born in the year of dog.. what chinese prediction of the dog... let's we see....

Last year, Dog people should have a better Rat year than most of people. They should be satisfied for their achievement. Even their friends or relatives around should be proud of Dog people's performance. In 2009, Dog people still have Lucky Stars coming, surrounding and supporting them. But the Unlucky Stars will come stronger than 2008. The fortune of Dog people in 2009 will inevitably fall down a little bit. However, Dog people have the character of loyalty, diligence, frank and honest. Therefore, they shouldn't have too bad year in the year of the Cow.

Career: Year 2009, there are two Lucky Stars and two Unlucky Star related to career are coming into your life. The signs show the events of disagreement, argument, conflict or resentment will come and bring you trouble. Therefore, you have to pay attention on your words and deeds. You need to focus more on people relationship. As long as you keep your sincere attitude, hardworking spirit and perseverance character, then you should be able to overcome any obstacle, challenge, confrontation and difficulty from your job in 2009.

Money: One Lucky Star shows you have a good money luck in 2009. But your money luck is connected to the career luck. You have career opportunity in 2009, but the career luck is not stable. Autumn is a better time for your career luck, but not the Summer. As long as you can save your job position, then you should have the stable income. Remember that your money luck this year is not the easy money, you need to work hard to earn it.

Love: There is no Love Star or Happy Star coming for Dog people. But there is a Lonely Star appearing in 2009. That means your love relationship wont' be smooth in the year of Cow. If you are a senior, then you have to pay attention on your spouse's health. You need to take your spouse to visit doctor whenever he or she feels uncomfortable. If you are married, you might have more quarrel with your spouse this year. If you are in love, you might be lack of chemistry with your companion. If there is a third person involved, then your relationship will be in trouble. If you are still single, then you might have one or two love opportunities coming to you in the Cow year, but the relationship won't last too long.

Health: Your job responsibility will increase in 2009. You will have more daily tasks in your position and you need more energy and spirit to handle those heavy job. The mental pressure will come together, then you won't have a good sleeping rest. Next, you will be losing your health and have more chances to get sick. Also, the poor relationship in love will affect your emotion and let you feel depressed. This is purely psychological problem. If you can understand that this is not a long term obstacle and learn how to relax yourself, you should be able to solve this problem.

Fortune: Dog people have a fair luck in the year of Cow, since they have Lucky Stars supporting them and Unlucky stars disturbing them. That means you will have some good time and some hard time. Everything won't be as smooth as you expect. But don't use this as a excuse for frustration or despair. You just have to spend more time to reach your goal. To double your efforts today will let you become more competitive when the opportunity comes tomorrow. In the company, you should keep your profile low, stay away from people giving you trouble and do not have any argument with your enemy. In the money area, don't be too greedy and do not have any risky investment. As long as focusing on your work, you will earn your return. For your love, you need more proactive in communication to build and maintain a solid relationship. For your health, you need to look for more time to rest, and then your health will improve.

1 . Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body.

2. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,

in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy.
The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.)
DON'T DO THIS!
The predator will be watching you, and this
is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

If someone
is in the car
with a gun
to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead start the engine
and speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it.
As soon as the car crashes
get out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.

5 . A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door .
Some serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
and get someone -
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
(Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; And even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!

8. As women, we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathy of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted

9. Another Safety Point:

Someone just told me that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch the night before last,
and she called the police because it was late

women out of their homes thinking that someone
dropped off a baby He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls by women saying that
they hear baby's cries outside their doors
when they're home alone at night.

Another good info that my friend Barbara share with me... and i wanna share it with my readers... Just recently we are shocked with the melamine case that occur in China and this chemical have contents in many China milk or chocolate products....

So have you ever drink from plastic bottle and see a triangle symbol on the bottom with a number inside....?

Do you know what the number stands for?
Did you guess that it's just for recycling?
Then you are WRONG !!!!!!
THE NUMBER TELLS YOU THE CHEMICAL MAKE UP OF THE PLASTIC.....

1 = Polyethylene terephalate (PET)
2 = High Density polyethylene (HDPE)

3 = Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) or Plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PPVC)
4 = Low density polyethylene (LDPE)
5 = Polypropylene (PP)

6 = Polystyrene (PS) or Expandable polystyrene (EPS)
7 = Other, including nylon and acrylic

Parents,

Fyi........what Melamine can do to your children...............

I am sure a lot of parents are anxious about the issue of Melamine poisoning and want to know how to find out if their children are suffering from Melamine poisoning.

So this is just a short post to let you all know a little more about what is going on and what to do.

What is Melamine and how did it get into our food products?

Melamine is a chemical that they use to make plastics. I remember that we used to have unbreakable plates and bowls that were made with Melamine and they are still being used in a lot of places today. Melamine as a plastic is very safe, but it becomes a problem when it is eaten.

Because Melamine is high in nitrogen, unscrupulous people have added it to milk which have been diluted with water in order to fool the detection devices into thinking that it is normal milk. This is because the devices do not actually detect protein itself, but the nitrogen content in the protein. So when the milk farmers sell their milk to the middlemen, these middlemen dilute the milk with water and add Melamine so that they can sell more volume of milk to the big producers like Sanlu. These producers then sell their milk products to make things like infant formula, chocolates, ice cream etc.

In Singapore , the AVA has positively detected Melamine in 3 products so far. These are:

I think we might be seeing more product warnings as the AVA conducts their check. As a precaution, they have also started to recall food products which use China sourced milk as one of their ingredients. These can be anything from chocolates, candies, yoghurt etc. It would be wise to avoid these products until the dust settles.

How to know if my child is affected by Melamine Poisoning?

Melamine affects mainly the kidneys because it is mainly excreted by the kidneys. So when high levels of Melamine are eaten, they start to precipitate in the kidneys causing kidney stones. The usual symptoms of kidney stones are pain in the back and sometimes blood in the urine.

Sometimes, melamine can also cause Acute Renal Failure (ARF) which is probably the cause of death in those infants in China . ARF is usually diagnosed with a blood test which is done because the patient is very sick and is admitted to hospital. There are really no concrete signs but you might notice that the child is very sick and vomiting constantly and the urine output might be very much reduced. At any rate, most parents can tell when there is something very wrong with their child and should just bring them to see the doctor.

Do note that you do have to take a moderate amount of Melamine it starts to become a problem. So in China , it was the infants who have been fed daily with tainted infant formula over several months who are affected. If you just drank a bottle of Dutch Lady Strawberry milk or had one Yili fruit bar, it should not cause any problems so there is no point in worrying about it too much. In doubt, please check with your doctor.

Conclusion

It would be wise to avoid any product that contains milk that has been sourced from China at the moment. However, you should not be too concerned if you or your child has taken only a small amount of any of the 3 products listed. If on the other hand, your child has been taking, say, the Dutch Lady Strawberry milk in large amounts over several months, then it may be prudent to bring him to the doctor who might do an X-ray and blood test for the child.
